Break me

Come on out from behind the shadow

I know where you hide awaiting my steps

Come on out, my death would work like the harrow

You wouldn’t see me gone neither have I left behind my rep

A distant light I often saw grows dimmer by the day

Come on out before it fades, Come out before I stray

Now that light has fallen dear to the darkness all around her

Oh wouldn’t it be wonderful if i could go and leave her behind to fray

My thirst, my words, my mindless thoughts, my dreams and despair

My trust, my scrawls, my childish hopes and my relentless stare

My burn, my hate, my smiley strain, my pretension  and broken quill

I would leave to you when the time comes, when blood like ink will spill

Come on out and break me now I can’t wait forever you see

Come on out and break me now this world is just not for me

Come on out and break me now please just set me free…
