Along the road

Its not about the regrets, its not the hurt nor the pain. Its not the betrayal, not the disappointments. Its not in those moments of helplessness when there was nothing to hold on to. Its not when there was no hope left, nor when all love was lost. It was not in the lies or the broken promises. It was not lost friendship nor the shattered faith….it was nothing that had anything to do with me at all…

“I’ve come a long long way from where I used to be…”

It was the road I was meant to travel. The path that my feet decided to tread upon. Its about those turns when all lights went out and the sky overhead hid the silver night. Its those thorns that dug in as i strode with naked faith. Its the smile I bore through the pain knowing that at the end of the road, I would find what I’ve been looking for.

Along the same road now, much has changed. No mark that would help remind that I had been there except for my fading footprints…

Before the world whizzes by and I’m taken onto another turn of this never-ending journey, I put down what I would like to think as a traveler’s re-collections along the road she travelled (in the form of a few short stories).
